Why do boxer dogs never show that they are hurt and always act young and playful?

I have a 7 year old boxer and he has always been very playful! He always acts youthful and never shows when he is in pain or anything! I have had other boxers which have also been this way.
i’ve always throught that its from when they were first bredd i think its just there breed but i dunno! I have a 3 year old boxer who thinks she’s still a puppy too!

he is a proud dog, or maybe he is not in pain

Any dog has to be in major pain before they show it. It’s a built in self defence mechanism to protect themselves from other animals.

They are tough and healthy dogs! They hide their pain its just the breed!

All dogs are like that. They aren’t whiney like some people are. They have to be in very serious pain before they’ll let it show. I have a 10-year-old Rottweiler who still likes to run and play with our Rottie pup.

He doesnt show pain because that is how they are bred, they are originally bred as bull-fighting dogs, bred for their energy and toughness
My boxer cross is the same, our Dobermann is always playing really rough with him, but it doesnt seem to bother him.

It’s an instinct not to show pain. It was very dangerous in the wild to be seen as a weak dog. If a dog is showing that it’s in pain, it is in very serious pain.
