I’ve searched for BMD breeders in/near Los Angeles and the closest one is an hour and a half away. Do you know where I can find a seller that is in La?
I search all over google and there are very little sale offers, the breeders are also harder to find too.
Also these dogs are very hard to find and I doubt there will be any at any shelters

Contact the Bernese Mountain Dog Club Of America they can get you a list of breeders.

okay so i saw this jack russel and chiwawa mix and it will stay small and it only weighs a few ounces and i want one so can you give me a link to someone who has one for sell or any kind of small dog under 1 pound and that will stay small and barely get bigger??? please find one under 200$ oh and no yippy yappy snappy dogs

Do some checking within your area, you can find one yourself. You don’t need everyones help to find you a dog. Check out some small dogs that stay small, Jack Russells, chiquauas, Shih-Tzu, Beagles (medium sized), Pug, Puggle, Fox Terrier. Do your research before getting any dog.

I have been wanting a Bernese Mountain Dog for over two years now, I just cant seem to find a good breeder with a reasonable price for me. I’ve looked all over the internet, and asked around.. Already looked into rescuing.. Seems to be no pups out there in my price range.. Please help me out.. Thanks.

4,000,000 dogs put-to-sleep in shelters each year because there are not enough homes. Give shelter and rescue animals a chance too, they are just as wonderful, loving, and deserving (and many are pure bred).

Are there "reputable breeders" for household pets other than cats/dogs?

I hear talk all of the time about puppy mills and kitten mills and how they supply pet stores with their puppies and kittens. However, the town I live in now doesn’t have any live puppies or kittens in their stores (just birds, fish, reptiles, and rodents more or less). The town I used to live in the one store that had live kittens & dogs for sale shut down, and the only cats & dogs at the chain stores around here (i.e. Petsmart, Petco) only have shelter/rescue animals available for adoption from the local human societies/animal rescue groups.

Are there "reputable breeders" for these other pets as well?
Do you think that the negative press around puppy/kitten mills is why chain stores such as Petsmart and Petco don’t sell cats & dogs?

It depends on where you live, you will find petstores in certain areas. I live in the pacific northwest, and there aren’t many actual petstores that sell live kittens and puppies from mills. But I heard in Texas and other places in the south, that they are quite numerous. I think petsmart and petco do not sell kittens and puppies from mills because they are national chains who do not want boycotts or bad press. But yes, there are breeders for other pets like hamsters and ferrets.
