I really dont think huskies are agresive, German shepherds are just really protective/teritorial, . german shepherds and huskies to me are very l;oving dogs.

Iam kind of biased though because I have a German Shepherd and a husky

Do the places which state they do not allow aggressive dogs have a list showing which breeds THEY consider aggressive?

If any of them consider a Siberian Husky aggressive, what you CAN do is take him to the training so he can get a Good Citizen Award. With this award in hand, you are in a strong position to validly state that your dog should be allowed in this residence.

I have looked at some of the aggressive dog lists, and I disagree with some of the dogs listed. I see the Siberian Husky on the first list, which has the St. Bernard that I would contest being on the list. Several of the dogs on the Aggressive Dogs Lists are dogs from breeds with a strong prey drive. Others are dogs who tend to be nervous in temperament. Dogs on these lists can be fine, IF the owner knows how to train the dog that the owner IS PACK LEADER. Any dog who acknowledges you as Pack Leader properly and completely, will be a good dog unless you are an aggressive person.

I think your best bet is to get the GCA for your dog. It’s a 10 part test and will be a real asset to you when you need to PROVE your dog is well behaved.

Here’s the list most apartment complexes I’ve lived in have used:
Pit Bull (this includes anything that looks remotely like a pit, such as an AmStaff, Cane Corso, sometimes even American Bulldog), Rottweiler, Doberman, German Shepherd, Chow, Malamute, Husky, Mastiff, Great Dane, St. Bernard.

Strange list, huh? The last 3 are usually included because they are afraid of potential damage from such a large dog. If you are looking to rent a privately owned home, sometimes you will find a landlord willing to work with you so long as your dog is well-behaved. Many just want to meet the dog and decide for themselves.

If you are looking to buy, some insurance companies won’t cover ‘aggressive’ breeds. State Farm does not discriminate based on dog breed, so they are a good company for those with guardian breeds.

The site I looked at listed 11 dogs ranging from Pitbulls, American Stafordshire terriers and rottis to Alaskan Malamutes and Huskys. We responsible owners are getting shafted!

The the answer I think you are looking for is what is considered by landlords as aggressive. The ones that would top the list are;

Pit Bulls
Rottweilers
Dobermans
Akitas
German Shepards

Insurance companies have a list that they raise insurance rates on certain breeds.

Husky is not on the list and everything should be fine as long as he has no bite history.

FYI – The dogs on the list I have never had one that was "vicious" I have had other breeds but none of the ones people would ever expect to be irreversable.

NO DOG BREED IS AGGRESSIVE. MANY DOGS CAN BECOME AGGRESSIVE, DUE TO THE OWNER. IT ALL COMES DOWN TO HOW U TRAIN UR DOG.

No breed of dog can be considered more agressive than the next. Its nonesence, but just check with the landlords. I doubt there would be a problem with a Husky. Good luck!
