Can flee bombs hurt my dogs health?

I have a 6 pound pomerianian and she keeps getting flees. I know that there in my carpet but I dont want to put flee bombs because im worried it can make her sick.

Take her on a car ride, or to an outside mall or something along those lines, for the amount of time (usually 2 hours) that the flea bombs say. Then come home, leave your dog in th backyard for a few minutes, while you open the windows & doors to air the house out. You get to spend time with your dog, and deal with the fleas at the same time. Also, get a flea collar if possible, they are usually pink, and sold at most any pet store. hope I helped :)
