ie: When your insurer denies you coverage for cancer treatment, NO OTHER COMPETITOR WILL TAKE YOU.. thus too late to change.

When you (or family) have a medical issue and your job provide insurance, even if you don’t like the job you keep it for fear of loosing the hc coverage.

I’m gonna have to side with herbs814, here. I’m firmly against any gov’t intrusion into health care. I trust gov’t as far as I can throw it … and this, even though I WORK for them. They are not competent to tackle something of this magnitude. No one is. It is the height of arrogance for gov’t to think they can centrally plan something as big as health care for 300 million people, and not have it turn out a total mess.

If it is private insurance, then it is reasonable.
If it is government insurance, then it is unreasonable.
Think about what you’re saying. Does government have any right to steal from the private sector? NO. NOT AT ALL.
The “other options” are individually purchased private insureance plans. Government intrusion is unacceptable.

That’s right herbs914…. 1,400 a month premiums for private health care insurance … do you find that reasonable ?? his insurance went up EVERY year for 10 years… his premium TRIPLED in cost… that trend will continue if something is not done… so please.. THINK ABOUT what your saying… a public option is A MUST for health reform and America needs it desperately…. we cannot rely on our jobs for health insurance anymore … we all need other options….
