    @howtomakeyourown …
    @howtomakeyourown Except ferrets are like rabbits on crack but with sharper teeth and claws, a tendency to get stuck in places you’ll never even be able to think of ferret proofing..Blah blah blah..I’d reccomend downloading Ferret for Dummies, it’s acually really helpful and I would have been lost without it when I first got my ferret :)

    @venomfairy And plus you need to safe proof your house for any holes that they could get through and beware screen doors/windows in case they get out and make sure you don’t have a quilt for bedding because it can make a hole into the blanket and not be able to get out and i don’t think you want to wake up to a sufficated ferret D:

    @ venomf.
    rabbits like ferrets require 3-4 hours out cage. i do that for my rabbit. while the food content is diff. they are still pellets (same difficulty)
    they use littler boxes. i scoop my bunnies litter every day like youre supposed to.
    they are practically the same to care for

    @howtomakeyourown I …
    @howtomakeyourown I can’t even go into it in a youtube comment, they are a lot more energetic than rabbits and require spaying and alot more attention. They have very different dietary requirements, rabbits eat any ol’ rabbit food from the pet store and vegetables but ferrets require a mostly fat and protein diet meaning meat would be ideal…

    Ferrets are more …
    Ferrets are more like having an infant in the house for years! They require MORE care and supervision than a dog or a cat. If you think that you could take care of another child in the house – then it’s a good idea to get one.

    AS for the “exotic” topic. YES they are still considered exotic and you cannot get pet insurance on them, except the type that will reimburse you aFTER you pay up front. That should tell you they are nothing like a simple dog or cat.

    they require MORE care than any dog or cat!!! they are very high maintenance. So if you don’t have time to give them, don’t buy one!
