Dog versus Deer
OUR DOG BUDDY WRESTLES AND PLAYS WITH OUR BABY WHITE TAIL DEER
My brother found this deer alone and malnourished when it was a tiny baby. My family bottle fed the baby, named Theen until he was eating grass. Several months later he’s very socialized with people, our black lab, and our cats. He is free to wander if he likes and we’ve seen him with several herds of whitetail and axis deer. Apparently he fits in just fine with them. He frequently comes back to the house to eat some catfood and play with our dog, Buddy. He doesn’t care much for deer corn.

“This little deer …
“This little deer lives on it’s own, out in the woods with other deer, now. It’s not sick, as it was treated by a veterinarian before its release. Young deer play just like any other young animal, so the dog and little deer both chose to play several times every day. They don’t play any more, so nothing bad will happen to our dog or us. He’s on his own, which is where he should be. “This was written by the person who created this video. The deer and the dog are fine. So just shut up enjoy it!

@MegaChubbyboy And how exactly is this deer a “stupid ass” deer? Also, it’s great to know you’d let your dog do that for no good reason.

this is so cute… as for people saying that you shouldn’t discourage the biting.. that is just crazy. I wouldn’t let my dogs bite my guests (playing or not) the same should go for a fawn.

@bpsweany I DON’T …
@bpsweany I DON’T KNOW MAN. ‘let them figure it out?” As in, let them figure out the predator prey relationship? That is a DOG, historically a predator. you better believe you need to “discourage” them. I just saw some dogs acting “naturally” while they killed a load of nanny goats–of course their “natural” instincts need to be discouraged. Yeah, the biting might just be mouthing, dominance but MIGHT not be.

That’s nice. Get …
That’s nice. Get him nice and tame, release him to the woods with other deer – all the while making him accustom to humans. Sweet. Now, when I see him in the woods in November, he’ll walk right up to me…….BAAAAAANG!!!!!!!! I like Venison.

You shouldn’t …
You shouldn’t discourage your lab from “biting.” He’s trying to establish a hierarchy, not eat the deer. On top of which you do nothing as the fawn clubs him with its hooves. Let them wrestle on their own terms and stay out of it. They’ll figure it out.

@xake19 — They …
@xake19 — They were playing. The deer was rescued and raised around the dog. The dog and deer were together every day until deer went out to live on its own. It knows the dog is harmless. It didn’t see the dog as a predator. Check out the follow-up video, showing when the deer came back into the yard, after living out in the woods with other deer, and wanted to play again. ….called Dog Versus Deer Rematch.
