Do female maltese dogs usually have a lump on thier stomach?

I have a female maltese dog that has an usual lump on her stomach and I would like to know if this is normal or what it could be?

It could possibly be a hernia, which may or may not require surgery. Best always to check with your vet

Nina, no this is not normal. It could be a fatty tumor or cyst. Or something else. You need to get her in to your vet for a check up on that.

It would help a little bit more if you described it more clearer. Here are some of the questions you should ask yourself:

    1) How big?
    2) What color?
    3) How many?
    4) Is it gradually growing?
    5) Does it bother your dog?

I have a feeling since it is a Female Maltese that it may just be her nipples. I have a 11month old Silky Terrier. When we got he, I was concerned about all these lumps on her stomach. Turns out she has 10 nipples. No need to worry:)
