Friend is moving in with her cat(No troubles here.) and dog. Her dog gets along with cats, but my cats don’t know Dogs. My cat Mittens is trying to tear the dog up, and my cat Delilah is running away. What can we do to associate them better?
introduce slowly and under control
let the cats have safe places

When I leave my house my 10 month old Boxer dog wines the entire time until I get back. And he never spends more than an hour by himself, when he’s with you he has to be touching you, laid on you or licking you or something. And he’s really cautious, he sits outside and watches the yard. Or stares at the woods for hours on end.
He’s half boxer & half rottweiler.
I’m just wondering if they get anxiety or separation anxiety.
nope
just not enough training, exercise and socialization not breed

My neighbors have just installed an "ultrasonic animal repeller" in their yard that is a nightmare for squirrels, birds and for my precious maltese dogs. This device is not pointed to my yard but my dogs refuse to go out. How can I handle this situation as these neighbors are unapproachable?.
You don’t really have any choice other than to go and talk to your neighbors and ask them to remove the device. If you feel endangered by speaking to them, bring an imposing male friend with you.

I have two labradoodles, one is of average size and the other a little smaller. I want to have them pull me in a wagon down my street. Would they be able to handle my weight (162 pounds) without being hurt if theyre both pulling at the same time?
fyi aisha, dog pulled sleds are common in some parts of the world
I’m just thinking you’ll want a 2nd person to control and guide the dogs. You don’t want a trip to the ER.

I really want to know what the big difference is or if there is even a difference between what they call bull and diamond boxers…and is there any other kind of boxer other than by their color brindle, white ect…please explain in details and if you can show pictures or show site..
a boxer is a boxer. anyone selling a "super special" kind of boxer is a backyard breeder and should be avoided.
ADD: Good link John. The actual breeder "Diamond Boxers" looks amazing.

What guard dogs/ personal protection dogs are the most obedient and you can have fingertip control of? I want to do shutzhund mostly so what breeds are really good for that sport? I was thinking Doberman, Rottweiler, Belgian malinois, Belgian Tervuren?, German Shepherd, or possibly a OFRN APBT? What dog breeds do you think are best for this sport? Which one of these breeds would be good for schutzhund?
All can be great, but it’s based on how well you train them. Based on your answers about dogs, I don’t think you should get ANY of these hard headed breeds. In ALL of your answers, you pick hard headed and generally dominant breeds for the dog that you plan on getting (and it changes every time), but in your answers about training, you suggest bully-based training, and basically think every dog should be handled like you’re Cesar Millan. Dogs should not be trained like how you say, and if you do that with one of the breeds you mentioned, your dog will turn into a terror and WILL become aggressive. Please, don’t get a dog if that’s how you plan on training your dog.

Do Maltese dogs have territorial problems when a new dog comes in the house? My friend has a 5-year old Maltese dog and she is thinking of getting another dog, particularly another breed, Lab is the first on her list and Shih Tzu is the second. Do you think the Maltese will like the idea of a new playmate?
Yes, they are..
Malteses were usually playful, lively and protective. So, it would likely be like what you want.
My friend also had one and when she brought a new dog, they liked each other.
Hope that it will be the same case for you..

how did dog breeds changed their appearance so much in such a short time of evolution ? I mean there are very significant differences between dog breeds e.g. chiwawa vs great dane. It sais that people selected and breed them in the last thousands of years. A few thousands of years seems a very short period to me for such big differences.
That is the power of artificial selection. Breeders selected for the traits that were desired and only those dogs reproduced. Look at the Siberian Fox experiment. All it took was 10 generations for domesticated foxes to emerge. Imagine how much more changes could be selected for over centuries.
The miniature breeds share a mutation near a gene for a growth factor receptor. A common mutation may result in a common trait.

I’ve searched for BMD breeders in/near Los Angeles and the closest one is an hour and a half away. Do you know where I can find a seller that is in La?
I search all over google and there are very little sale offers, the breeders are also harder to find too.
Also these dogs are very hard to find and I doubt there will be any at any shelters
Contact the Bernese Mountain Dog Club Of America they can get you a list of breeders.
