I would try using a …
I would try using a clicker to mark the behaviour you want from the dog. They learn very quickly with a clicker, because it’s clear to them what behaviour you want.

yea you gota give them alot of positive body language i find.i dont give me puppy treats every trick because they phase out eventually an not need treats.. you probably dont want to let other people give it treats for nothing either a treat isnt supose to be given every single time they do something good, but its there to push them in the right direction

This is harder than …
This is harder than it looks, my dog is small, but he just wants the food, he knows liedown, sit and paw, but when I get him lieing down, he just starts giving me paw over and over again, its cute but really annoying, he’s rolled over a few times, but its difficult to get him to, and if we do sometimes we forget to say ‘roll over’ !! Anybody have any tips?? Thanks, this helped also:P

It’s obviously easier for you and other people because their dogs are already skilled at tricks. It is harder for beginner dogs.

i’m trying to teach …
i’m trying to teach my dog that & it makes a lil more sense to do it in steps. My dog knows lie down & when i read how to teach it the article just said to take the treat clockwise around his head until he twists but when i do it like that my dog just sits up
