Can dogs get sick from humans?
I just sick, and i was wondering can dogs get sick from humans? If so what should i do so my dog wouldn’t get sick?
Yes, we sure can ‘catch’ things from dogs. It is called Zoonotic when illnesses can be passed from dog to human. Humans can get Rabies from infected dogs, certain parasites (roundworm, whipworm, hookworm, giardia…), bacterial infections (ringworm, Sarcoptic mange…), etc.
Yes, dogs can pick up certain viruses and things like ringworm from humans.
Just make sure you wash your hands thoroughly before and after handling your dog or cat.
make sure if you have a cold, treat your handling like you would that of a child. minimize your contact to ensure you don’t pass it on. not every virus or cold is contagious to your pet, just certain ones. But better to be safe than sorry.
you may also think of ways to boost your immune system so you have better health, too. Perhaps a multi vitamin, or Airborne when you don’t feel well may help.
good luck

Not exactly, a dog’s immune system is alot different than a humans, so as far as a cold, or the flu or stomache virus, no they can’t get sick from that. However if a human gets food poisining from chicken and the dog eats the chicken too, yes the dog can get food poisning.
